Global organizations with an office and/or program in Ghana:

  • Impact Hub Accra is a global community, consultancy and a creative space, working at the intersection of innovation and society to collaboratively create impact with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Lions@Africa is an Organization based in London and Ghana providing business development support, local support, or international support working to support the needs of burgeoning ventures.
  • Vital Voices Global Partnership is an NGO that identifies, trains, and empowers emerging women leaders and social entrepreneurs across the world.
  • Startup Weekend is a global network of passionate leaders and entrepreneurs on a mission to inspire, educate, and empower individuals, teams, and communities.
  • YALI Regional Leadership Center West Africa, as part of the United States government initiative, Young African Leadership Initiative (YALI), offers leadership training program, to emerging or aspiring entrepreneurs who expect to take on leadership roles within the private sector or build their own business ventures on the continent.

Ghana-based organizations and programs:

  • iSpace Foundation an Innovation and Technology hub in Accra, known to offer a conducive environment for growth in the Startup Ecosystem by providing a working space, Training and Mentoring, access to Funding and other facilities for Entrepreneurs and Start-ups to launch and manage their business ideas.
  • Reach for Change (R4C) run innovation competitions, accelerators and incubators that enable social entrepreneurs, with innovations that solve pressing issues facing children, youth and women to scale nationally and regionally in Ghana.  R4C are based in Accra supporting social entrepreneurs across the country and also have operations in six other African countries: Senegal, DR Congo, Chad, Rwanda, Tanzania and Ethiopia.
  • Innohub  is a Business Accelerator and Impact Investment platform, which on one hand, supports Small and Growing Businesses to become sustainable, scalable and investment ready, and on the other hand serves as a platform for matching businesses to the capital needed for growth.
  • iCode is a technology and business incubation hub that focuses on supporting technology and creative start-ups community by providing the necessary resources to drive innovation in Ghana towards the broader agenda of creating sustainable inclusive growth by fostering competitiveness and promoting entrepreneurship.
  • Kumasi Hive is a multi-space Innovation Hub which provides a platform for rapid prototyping of ideas, supporting local Innovations & impact start-up and promoting entrepreneurship.
  • Ghana Innovation Hub works to improve the quality and availability of support services and access to finance in the Ghanaian ecosystem. The hub offers physical working space, as well as business development services, investment matchmaking and ecosystem support.
  • Ghana Climate Innovation Center is a pioneering business incubator with a unique focus of developing SME ventures and entrepreneurs in Ghana’s ‘Green Economy’.

Trainings

  • MEST offers 12 months intensive training programs, tech incubator and seed fund to aspiring technology entrepreneurs with the goal of creating globally successful companies that create jobs and wealth in Africa.
  • NBSSI (National Board for Small Scale Industries), Youth Entrepreneurship and Employment Programme (YEEP), is supported by the government of Ghana, providing 4,800 Ghanaian youth between the ages of 18-35 years with free Entrepreneurship and Financial Literacy training in Greater Accra, Brong-Ahafo and Ashanti Regions to create employment for the youth.
  • NEIP Business Support Programme is an initiative by the government under the Ministry of Business Development to support unemployed Ghanaian youth through training and funding. Additionally, the aid is to assist them set up their businesses and boost existing ones.
  • HOPin Academy, based in Tamale, Northern Ghana, an educational organization providing goal-oriented, practice-oriented learning for young people harnessing technology.
