What accounting requirements are there in Kenya?

Kenya follows the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). The International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and the IFRS for SMEs Standard  were established and are maintained by the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB). The IFRS are required for all domestic listed and unlisted companies.

The Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) was established in 1978, and is the professional organization regulating the activities of all Certified Public Accountants (CPA(K)s) in Kenya.
